The retreat is planned as a low key, kick back, no phone, no cooking, no problems!! getaway. A time to make new friends and enjoy the old.  This will be a ‘Sew on Your Own” event with a few fun activities to share...One of which will be our own personal shopping time at the local quilting stores!

You will have the option of staying 2 or 3 nights.
The costs listed are PER PERSON. Meals are not included. The Lodge has lovely buffet available. Flexibility is our goal.

3 night stay -Thursday Thru Saturday
Double room PER PERSON $255.00
Single room $378.00

2 night stay - Friday & Saturday
Double room PER PERSON $180.00
Single room $262.00

This price includes a non-refundable $30.00 Registration Fee
Also all taxes, gratuities and park entrance fee.
Each quilter will receive a Goody Basket in their room and a gift from the Council celebrating our 25th Anniversary.

Making “Fabric Postcards” and a “hot chocolate, coffee and baked goodies” snack
will be the Council sponsored activities. The Fabric Postcard kits will be provided along with fabric and Colleen Casey will lead us in making at least 2 postcards. One to take home and one to trade with a fellow quilter.

At Saturday dinner, we will be judging and awarding prizes for the “Tacky Straw Hat
Contest”. So put your thinking hats on, remember our retreat theme, and start looking for ornaments to adorn your chapeau.

A workshop, will be available, led by Jean Wolfe, “Tessellating Pinwheels” (View the photo below!). It is just the project to use up some of your stash. This quilt uses 49 squares of 4”, 6”, 8”, or 10” (your choice) cut from your stash, sewn together and then cut apart again. The leftovers become the border. Jean’s class is limited to 20 students and is scheduled for Saturday morning. The cost is $12.00. We may be able to schedule a second class if there is enough interest.

Rooms will be available as Singles or Doubles but will be limited to 50 Georgia Quilt Council members. Registration packets will go out with the September Newsletter, or CLICK HERE to print your registration form at home!

Since space is limited, be sure to send in your registration in early!
