  Membership in the Georgia Quilt Council is open to all quilters and quilt lovers who want to be a part of promoting the art of quilting.  Join us in making this organization a vital link from quilter to quilter and from Guild to Guild as "Georgia Quilters Bind Together To Learn and To Share".

Membership Dues Timing:

All dues paid 10/11/08 through 10/9/09 covered your dues for 2009.
Dues paid starting with 10/10/09 through the day prior to Fall 2010 Convention are dues that will cover your membership for 2010.

Member Benefits

1. Six issues of "The Sampler", the Council newsletter published in even-numbered months.

2. A membership directory for your personal use, published at the end of February.  The directory also features Georgia quilt guilds, quilt shops, and Council members who are teachers or who have quilt-related businesses.

3. Access to a helpful, easy-to-navigate website, www.georgiaquiltcouncil.com.

4. Discounted GQC Convention registration.  Members save almost 30% when registering for the Spring or Fall Conventions, held in March and October each year.

5. Members-only six-hour workshops with nationally and internationally known quilt teachers.  The guild-hosted workshops are on each of three days prior to Spring and Fall Conventions in venues around the state.

6. Opportunities to serve as leaders of a statewide non-profit organization of 400+ quilters.

Guild Opportunities

1. Host a workshop with a nationally known teacher.  Benefit: First 10 slots available to Guild members; no expense to Guild for venue or teacher's fees and expenses.

2. Host a convention in your neighborhood (no expense to Guild).  Benefit: Publicity for your Guild as well as to businesses and attractions in your area of GA.  You choose vendors, venue, caterer, accommodations thus bringing business to your area.

3. Identify events and locations at which the Council can set up an exhibit, make a presentation, or do a quilting demo.

Appoint a Council Liaison to attend Council executive meetings in the odd-numbered months.  No vote, but opinions and recommendations are welcome.
