SILVER ANNIVERSARY QUILT CHALLENGE

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Georgia Quilt Council,

we are sponsoring a quilt challenge:

The Theme is "SILVER"

  • Eligibility: Member of Georgia Quilt Council
  • You may interpret this in any way you wish - Silver fabric, silver thread, silver knives & forms, "silver threads among the gold", the Lone Ranger's horse "Hi Ho, Silver"....use your imagination.
  • The finished quilt must be square or rectangular with total perimeter no less than 70” and no more than 100”.
  • Batting &/or quilting are optional, but all quilts must have finished edges, backing and a 4” sleeve for hanging.
  • Bring or send all quilts to the Spring 2008 Convention.
  • All quilts will become part of a traveling exhibit in 2008 and 2009. No quilts will be released before the end of the tour.

We would encourage guilds to have their own competitions and bring a group of their quilts to convention.  There will be awards for guilds as well as individuals!

We hope to have a beautiful display of these quilts as part of our 25th Anniversary Convention.

*Note: The Museum Committee reserves the right to determine which entered quilts will become part of the traveling exhibit especially those requiring special handling because of embellishments or construction. We will take the utmost care with your quilts but we cannot be liable for theft, loss or damage to your property. Please check your homeowner's/renter's insurance policy.
