April 19, 2008: Cave Springs 2008 "Quilts In The Park", quilts displayed in the historic church Rolater Park, Cave Springs 9am-6pm. Free Admission. Contact quiltsinthepark@earthlink.net. April 26, 2008: The Hall County Quilt Guild is pleased to present their Hall County Quilt Show "Feathers" at the Hall County Administrative Bldg, Jesse Jewell Pkwy, Gainesville, GA. Hours 9AM-4PM. The quilt show is being held in conjunction with the Gainesville Annual Chicken Festival. Your entry fee of $7.50 each, or $12 per couple gives you access not only to our 100 quilts being displayed at the Quilt Show, but also the chicken cook-off, live music with a local DJ, the relay race, the sweet tea challenge, and lots of children's activities including pony rides. September 5-26, 2008: Hand in Hand Quilt Guild of Dawsonville will have its annual quilt show at the Bowen Arts Center in Dawsonville. This year's show title is "Southern Comforts". September 13-14, 2008: Chattahoochee Evening Stars Quilt Guild presents "Stars 'N' Stitches" Quilt Show. Sat 9-6, Sun 12-5. Held in conjunction with the Old Milton Country Fair (Saturday) at Connected Academy Gymnasium, 86 School Drive, Alpharetta, GA. Inside the show enjoy our unique vendors, door prizes, and quilts, quilts, quilts. On Saturday, enjoy barbecue, blue grass music, old-time carnival games, heritage and country crafts and demonstrations, pony and train rides, historic exhibits, classic cars, and storytelling at the Country Fair.
